Nursery Room Leader

We are seeking to appoint a Nursery Room Leader for our Little Thinkers Nursery setting at New Horizons Primary School in Portsmouth. As the Room Leader you will play a crucial role in promoting high standards within our nursery and supporting staff in their daily duties, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth. The successful candidate will ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keyperson procedures and allocate children to key workers appropriately while adhering to the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for practice and provision. You will deploy staff appropriately to ensure standards are consistently met and maintained within the rooms. This is a full time position working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

• Hold a Level 3 NVQ or above in Childcare & Education
• Experience as a Room Leader/Senior Nursery Practitioner
• A solid knowledge of the EYFS
• Impeccable interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with parents/carers and provide relevant feedback about their child's progress
• Foster open, positive working relationships with all staff members
• Actively promote the Nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Committed to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery and your direct care
