Nursery Third in Charge

The Little School Daycare 2, part of the Family First Group, is seeking a Third in Charge to join our team. For this role, it is essential that you possess a Level 3 Childcare Qualification. As a key person, you will be responsible for guiding a designated group of children through their daily routine, liaising with parents, and providing an enabling environment. Candidates must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification. Our state-of-the-art facilities include two expansive outdoor areas and a sensory room, offering abundant opportunities for children's exploration and growth. Our nursery operates from 8 am to 6 pm, and we require you to be flexible in working varied shift patterns within these hours. We offer 4-5 days per week of full-time work, with salary adjustments according to the hours worked. We are a family by name, and a family by nature. • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
• Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality
• Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
• Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff
• Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met

  Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification - Essential
• Over 1 years' experience working in Early Years - Essential
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
• Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
• Fluent in written and spoke to English - Essential
