Full Job Description

We are looking for a band 2 nursing assistant to join our team, we are based at Barts Heart Centre in the historical part of London. Ward 4c is a busy 26 bedded Thoracic (Lung) and Breast surgical ward. We care mainly for oncology and trauma patient's pre and post operatively. We are looking for someone who is cheerful, professional, enthusiastic and be flexible in this post. You will be accountable to the Ward manager and work closely with nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team., To provide support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals by assisting with patients care (always under direct supervision) and providing other support and administrative services.The Nursing Assistant works under the direction and supervision of qualified nurses to deliver aspects of care within the boundaries of their assessed competencies.To take a major role in the timely provision of clean and equipped patient bed areas.To assist in the maintenance of a safe, healthy and hygienic environment.
