Full Job Description

  • The Nursing Assistant within a community setting works as a member of a wider community nursing team to delivery clinical care to patients including the performance of diagnostic tests and the delivery of personal and delegated nursing care to individuals with acute and chronic health problems. Although the post holder receives support and supervision from the MDT they are expected to work unsupervised in the patients own home, and in residential home environments.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Nursing Assistants to join our Multi Disciplinary Team within our Community Response Service. The successful applicant will be keen to work in a busy, friendly and developing integrated community team.
  • The right candidate for this post will need to display excellent communication skills and will be required to carry out a number of duties for eg phlebotomy, simple wound dressings , weights, fluid balance monitoring, reporting of clinical observations and will assist with virtual technology monitoring. They will be expected to work flexibly across Northumberland and North Tyneside They will be expected to be part of a shift pattern of 8 am starts and 8pm finishes that will include BH and weekends . Ideally we would like candidates to have community/primary care experience however training and education can be offered .Canadettes will need to have a willingness to learn and be involved in service developments.
