Full Job Description

We are a 24 bedded Arthroplasty ward; we look after a variety if orthopaedic surgeries. Patients are referred from all over the country to us as well as places like Jersey and Ireland so they can receive the specialist surgeries our consultants perform, and as part of the multidisciplinary team provide the essential after care that enables the patient to recover well, progress safely and ultimately go home. Ward 2 are welcoming, friendly and supportive. You will receive support to develop your skills knowledge and education though our induction programme, regular PDR and peer support.,

  • Practice independently under the leadership of a registered nurse and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate, person centred care.
  • Ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in an effective and efficient manner, reflecting the values and ethos of The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Be responsible for assessing care needs of patients. Planning, implementation and the evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.
  • Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate and will work to the NMC Code
  • and Standards for Nursing Associates
