Full Job Description

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide safe, effective, efficient care for patients, relatives, and carers in an Inpatient setting.

As part of the team, you will be focused on patient care, always aiming for good patient experience, to provide a high standard of care to patients, whilst always maintaining their privacy and dignity, to assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care and to contribute to supporting the Junior Sister/Senior Sister.

We are looking for one individual who will create a positive patient experience, is innovative, effective at working collaboratively, advocates for quality improvement and ensures the delivery of high quality patient care. The role is to provide and be responsible for participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised programmes of care.

You will deliver care without supervision and take responsibility as the prime care provider for a group of patients and at all times promote confidence in our commitment to provide excellent compassionate patient care.

We are looking for a hard working individual who is both flexible and versatile in their approach to work to join our excellent, supportive, and friendly team. You must be able to work well under pressure in an adapting environment. You will be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You will possess a positive attitude and constructive towards change.

You will participate in the day-to-day running of the ward, providing support to our patients following your induction and ongoing support. You will be expected to develop and maintain good and organisational skills, whilst acting as a positive role model and provide an environment conducive to the support of the Healthcare Assistants, and other members of staff in the department at that time, whilst enhancing the patients journey & experience.

Previous surgical experience would be beneficial as we also look after patients from all surgical specialities.A full time position for a Nursing Associate is available however part time hours would also be considered., You will need to have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a busy team. You will be expected to work both independently and alongside your colleagues to provide the highest standard of care. The successful candidate needs to be a dedicated and motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work loads and manage time effectively.
