Full Job Description
Provide optimum quality of care to patients, offering support to the multi-professional team, will take responsibility for an identified area on regular shift.
Administer medications in alignment with NMC standards of proficiency and Trust policy and procedure.
The post holder will be required to play an integral role in the delivery of Care Benchmarking activities and Trust specific CQUINS targets and participate in audits, An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band4position to support the newly built Croydon Dialysis Unit.
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Nursing Associate with excellent dialysis skill and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of care to dialysis patients as well as ensuring an excellent learning environment for patient and staff. With the support of the Clinical Matron and Manager, the new staff will need to provide holistic care to renal dialysis patients and ensure compliance with specific infection and dialysis guidelines.
The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills and have basic dialysis experience. He/she must also be self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
The new satellite dialysis unit is based at Croydon University Hospital and is managed by the Renal Unit at St Helier Trust in partnership with Renal Services UK. The unit consists of 28 dialysis stations and has a capacity of 144 patients.
The Renal Unit at St Helier NHS trust has been offering renal replacement therapy for 50 years as a tertiary renal referral Centre; and is one of the largest in England., St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey.Our sites include St George's Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC). After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.
