Are you an experienced, newly qualified or soon to be qualified Nursing Associate?, We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Associate to join our established community nursing team in Swadlincote. This role will provide care for housebound patients in Swadlincote and the surrounding areas.

As a Nursing Associate you will be expected to provide community based individualised care to include promoting independence and self care, long-term condition management, venepuncture and medication administration as well as completing various nursing assessments and following treatment regimes.

Working as a Nursing Associate you will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do.

You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic whilst developing the art of the quality conversation to ensure effective conversation with our patients.

For this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other staff and patients.

The successful post holder must be able to able to work alone and unsupervised.

The post holder will be required to have access to a car to complete patient visits in the community and clinical settings.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
