We have an opportunity for a Band 4 Nursing Associate to join our community nursing teams in the Hertsmere Locality. You will be supported to develop and achieve competencies to provide individualised care to patients who have long-term conditions and to complete various nursing assessments and following treatment regimes. Working as a nursing associate you will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic. For this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other staff and patients. You will be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement, where patient welfare is at the heart of all you do. It will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those of CLCH. The post holder will organise and prioritise their own day to day work tasks and activities, and delegate tasks to junior colleagues. The post holder will be required to have access to a car to complete patient visits in the community settings. The post holder may be required to work from different bases within the Hertfordshire borough. The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi professional team and the Registered Nurse to assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care in line with service and patient needs, as agreed with supervising clinicians. The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The nursing associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing and care and within all aspects of the nursing process. (Health Education England 2018) Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate and will work to a nationally recognised Nurse and Midwifery (NMC) code of conduct and must meet the NMC standards of proficiency.
