This is an opportunity for a forward thinking and enthusiastic Band 4 Nurse Associate. We have a hour post available, working in this high achieving team in our clinic and in the community. We are able to offer this as a development opportunity where the successful candidate would come in as a Band 3 Community Support Worker and once required competencies have been achieved, they will be uplifted to the Band 4 Nurse Associate. We are a small, close knit team of community nurses based in Lynton Health Centre with a practice population of around 0 spread over a wide geographical area. The team provides a nursing service to the local population, and its many holidaymakers, covering community, some practice and minor injury nursing in a clinic and community setting. We are proactive within our work with our main focus being preventative care. We run our own leg ulcer clinic and carry out the wound, catheter and PICC line care within the GP setting. Our aim is to support people at home and provide effective preventive care that keeps admissions to a Hospital or hour setting to a minimum. The main aspect of the role is supporting the registered nurses with wound care / leg ulcer clinics and the opportunity for community visits. We support patients at home and in a hour care setting with long term conditions management and palliative care. We are able to offer this as a development opportunity where the successful candidate would come in as a Band 3 Community Support Worker and once required competencies have been achieved, they will be uplifted to the Band 4 Nurse Associate. The main focus is to support the nurses with wound care, palliative care and long term condition management. The right candidate will be keen to develop their clinical skills, adaptable and flexible in their approach you work and able to communicate well with colleagues and patients alike.
