Full Job Description

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of care and treatmentin order toundertake non-complex nursing assessment/reassessment in various settings under the direction/ supervision of senior staff.
  • Exercise personal responsibility and work independently within defined parameters of practice, taking the initiative in a variety of situations and performing a range of clinical and care skills consistent with the role,responsibilitiesand professional values of a Nursing Associate.

  • Undertake a full range of agreed clinical skills including venepuncture, routine ECG recording and measure and interpret blood glucose levels
  • Registered Nursing associates are allowed to administer intramuscular injections followingappropriate organisationaltraining and achievement of Trust competencies
  • Accurately use contemporary nutritional assessment tools and record fluid intake toidentifysigns of dehydration or fluid retention and escalate as necessary
  • Assistin the delivery of complex careas prescribed bythe registered Nurse. Develop understanding of caring for individuals withparticular conditionsfor example dementia, mental illness, learning disabilities.
