Full Job Description

As Programmes Senior Manager the post holder will work as part of a dynamic nursing and midwifery team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff.
The post holder will support the Head of Nursing & Midwifery and their Team, to ensure successful implementation of the nursing and midwifery portfolio of work at regional and sub-regional level.
There is an expectation to be in Victoria House, Fulbourn, 40% of the time and to travel across the region as part of this role., The Programme's Senior Manager will have specific responsibility for:
+ Programme and project management:
+ Providing comprehensive project management duties overseeing the delivery of the work streams identified in the Long Term Workforce Plan beyond
+ Communication and stakeholder engagement
+ Working with key partners internal and external to NHS England to ensure the successful implementation of the Team's delivery plan of Workforce, Training and Education
+ Nursing & Midwifery managerial expertise.
+ Liaising closely with the National Nursing and Midwifery Programme

+ Programme/Project Management experience at a strategic / system level
+ Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project.
+ Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
Knowledge, + Knowledge, understanding and application of current NHS policies across healthcare systems and experience of implementation in relevant areas., + Knowledge and experience of working on national nursing & midwifery policy issues, + Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from a range or organisations (health, social care, voluntary sector, patient groups) and from a range of professional backgrounds.
