Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an Administrator to work with the team at Queen Elizabeth's Nursery School. The Nursery School Administrator is an integral administration role within our Nursery, with primary responsibilities involving assisting both the Nursery Manager and the Deputy Manager. A crucial aspect of this role involves ensuring that all systems and equipment within our working environment function effectively, providing a seamless experience for both staff and children. Main duties will also include:

  • First point of contact for telephone enquiries and visitors
  • Assist the Deputy Manager with creating and maintaining rotas, registers, timetables, and other key management documents
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records for staff, children and parents
  • Generating invoices, following up on outstanding balances and liaising with the Finance department as required
  • Maintaining office records, both electronic and paper-based, through the Parent/filing system
  • Supporting the set-up of staff meetings and distributing minutes
  • From time to time, you may be called upon to assist in areas not directly connected to your primary duties, including stepping into rooms to help cover lunches or absences if required
  • First aid training, including paediatric first aid and other specialist medical training, will be provided
  • Safeguarding training will be provided
  • Working Hours: 30 hours per week Monday - Thursday, 08:00 to 16:00 (Term Time - 38 weeks) 12 hours per week over 2 days during school holidays 20 days a year annual holiday entitlement plus bank holidays and 3 concessionary days to be taken during the Christmas Holidays A Support Staff application form is available below and must be sent along with a covering letter to arrive by noon on Tuesday 24th September 2024 to mdjohn@qegsblackburn.com. The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of our children and young people and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
