Full Job Description
- To assist in obtaining dietary information from patients and following up care plans as recommended by the clinical dietitian
- Observe patients for signs of diet-related complications
- Offer support to the Dietitians, nurses, health care assistants in identifying nutrition-related issues
- Perform nutrition assessments, including taking anthropometrical measurements
- To work alongside the Dietitians in implementing nutrition care plans and teaching/education sessions
- You will have opportunities to work within the Ealing community
- To assist in the treatment and management of patients under the supervision of a Dietitian. This will involve assessment and treatment duties and advice
- To provide training sessions for health and social care professionals
- To assist in the provision of oral nutritional supplements
- To provide patient related administrative support for the dietitians

We are looking for a confident, flexible and reliable team player to join our friendly Nutrition & Dietetic Department. You will be working for Ealing Community Services within the Nutrition and Dietetic Team. The team consists of 12 Dietitians and 3 Nutrition Assistant Practitioners.
Under the direction of the Dietitians the post holder will monitor and support patients (adults and children) who need dietary input. (Training and supervision will be provided).
You will responsible for collecting clinical information, providing some basic nutrition advice, administrative duties including dealing with patient and health professional queries, database management, processing referrals and making appointments.
The post holders will need to be IT competent, able to use Word, Excel, and Power Point, be able to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience of working with the general public or patients.
The post holder will be required to travel across Ealing Borough to nursing homes and patient's homes. The department is committed to personal development and support each individuals potential for growth., Disability Confident
