Full Job Description
- Execute and lead descriptive epidemiologic studies to characterize the incidence/prevalence of disease in US, EU, Asia, and emerging market countries
- Manage research projects involving the analysis of multiple types of data including medical claims, electronic health records and prospective observational cohort studies
- Conduct literature reviews and prepare research reports and scientific manuscripts
- Communicate with internal and external partners to manage and implement studies
- Supply the development and implementation of innovative analytic methods, capabilities, and tools to enable rapid, scalable, and reproducible real-world evidence (RWE)
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of observational research and drug development
- Communicate significant scientific information to a variety of audiences Be part of our team You will be joining the Disease Forecasting team within Amgen's Center for Observational Research (CfOR), a global organization with an industry-leading analytical capability that generates RWE to support business needs across a product's lifecycle.
- Degree educated in Epidemiology or other subject with high observational research content
- Previous experience in the design, execution, and analysis of observational research studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting
- Experience working with secondary data systems, including administrative claims, EMR, registries
- Excellent verbal and writing communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous work experience in multi-disciplinary teams
