To work proactively to support the Nurse Manager in the delivery of a high quality Occupational Health service. by working autonomously to provide a comprehensive range of clinical services required under the six NHS OH core services of prevention, timely intervention, rehabilitation, health assessments for work, promotion of health & well-being and teaching & training to staff of Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust (KGH) and external businesses., We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the existing clinical team in Occupational Health. The role will encompass pre-placement health screening, venepuncture, the administration of vaccinations, health surveillance following contamination incidents, industrial health surveillance such as audiometry and spirometry etc. as required., Applications will be transferred to TRAC system, by completing an application your are giving authorisation for the transfer of your data.

Including factual reference, occupational health clearance and statutory and mandatory training record.
If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £13. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.

You will be an NMC Registered Nurse, with experience in NHS Occupational Health setting . An interest in the specialty and knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing would be desirable.
You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, have excellent communication and team working skills and have the ability to manage your own workload.
You must have demonstrable experience and proven knowledge in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook) - full training will be given regarding our specialist Occupational Health IT system. We are now a paper light environment and therefore the role will have a substantial amount of computer-based work.
You may be required to travel to other locations and transport equipment off-site therefore own transport and independent mobility is essential.
