Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or established Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team of therapists at North Cotswold Community Hospital. We welcome applications from those looking for their first post or those seeking to develop their existing role into a more Senior position. We are willing to be flexible in terms of hours available and will consider full or part time interest. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the team and will work in a ward-based environment with home access visits as part of the role. We work within a multidisciplinary team alongside physiotherapists, nurses, GPs, mental health services and social care., The North Cotswolds Hospital is set in a beautiful location close to boundaries with Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Worcestershire. The hospital has 22 single ensuite rooms providing subacute care, rehabilitation and end of life care to adults with varied and complex needs from within Gloucestershire as well as Out of County. Our aim is to enable people to live as independently as possible and the ethos of the team is rehabilitation with a person-led approach to achieve recovery and self-management. Much of the role involves assessment, goal setting, implementing rehabilitation programmes on the ward, functional practice and coordinating safe discharges for the patients. We pride ourselves on being a creative and innovative team who enjoy the benefits of the autonomous style of working that the ward allows.
