Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our supportive department of around 20 Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants, for our Adult Services based at Wythenshawe Hospital part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

The post is to support our front of house Integrated Therapy Team, consisting of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. The IAT/OPAL team work within the Emergency Department, AMU, OAU (Older Persons Assessment and Liaison) and Clinical Decisions Unit. The team work to a 7-day working rota between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00 pm. There is some flexibility within the rota following discussion with the team leads.

You should be enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic and a team player. Ideally the successful post holder will have experience of community services and Discharge to Assess Pathways. You will be supported by a team leader and you will have opportunities to supervise less experienced staffand students.

Good IT, written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the post holder will be required to liaise with a wide range of health care professionals, inpatient and community as well as patients and their carers.
