Full Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic, creative and compassionate individual with an interest in working with adults with learning disabilities? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dynamic Community Learning Disabilities Team in South Norfolk. This is a part-time post (22.5 hours per week). The post-holder will be based with the South Norfolk Community Learning Disabilities Team at Attleborough Community Hub. There is likely to be cross-county working required, which will involve travelling to other locality teams.

  • The role will be a hybrid of working at the team base, home and community visits.
  • There are five adult Community Learning Disability Teams in Norfolk, co-located with Norfolk County Council Social Care Teams, offering a multidisciplinary service. The teams are supportive and passionate about their work with adults with learning disabilities. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and in a variety of settings that include seeing people in their own homes, day services and residential services. You will be part of the countywide Learning Disability Occupational Therapy team and will have access to a range of networking opportunities to support your professional development. You will receive one to one clinical and professional supervision from our experienced countywide Professional Lead for Learning Disability Occupational Therapy. Additional managerial support is provided by the Health Team Manager., The postholder will:
  • Be an active member of the integrated multi-disciplinary community team for people with learning disabilities.
  • Be responsible for a defined caseload, using evidence based/person-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
