Make a difference at our new health care setting, Spinneyfields in Rushden where you will play a vital role in supporting our patients who have been transferred from the main hospital ready for rehabilitation. You will be working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary colleagues across the fast-paced environments of ED, through to acute medical and Trauma/Orthopaedic wards. We offer varied and specialist clinical environments for you to learn, grow and develop as a strong Occupational Therapist. We also offer the opportunity to gain clinical development in a variety of other hospital areas:

  • Accident and emergency, urgent care wards
  • Acute medicine
  • Orthopaedics - trauma, day case, elective
  • Respiratory wards
  • Spinneyfields Step-Down Unit, To perform Occupational Therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations
  • To provide a clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
  • To plan and prioritise own patient caseload, working with direct support of a senior member of staff- Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions and peer review.
  • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Assist in audit and/or research projects to further own and team's clinical practicewithin each rotation.
  • To provide high quality, evidence-based care across the seven-day service as the service requires.
