We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in Woolwich. Belmarsh is a Category A High security male prison based in Woolwich in South East London. It houses 792 patients and has 48 single cells. Hours Monday - Friday (either 0900 - 1730 or 0800 - 1630) 37.5 hours per week., As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Be responsible for the provision of occupational therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation.
- Provide visible and professional support to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and rehabilitation aimed at improving or maintaining independence.
- Working with a caseload of patients with varying difficulties including complete health and social care needs; responding effectively to the changing needs of the patient caseload, managing the sometimes conflicting priorities of prevention of admission and discharge.
- Assess and order equipment as identified by patient need and allocate work to OT assistant or care staff as necessary. Establishing communication networks with other team members, patients and other health and social care agencies, attending joint visits with other professionals as required. - Post registration experience and evidence of Continued Professional Development

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum FTE - depending on experience, £44,863 to £53,172 a year Up to £53,172 per annum - depending on experience
