Full Job Description

The Intermediate Care and Discharge to Assess Beds Team has vacancies for 2 full-time Band 6 Occupational Therapists. We would be happy to consider part-time hours. You would be joining a supportive team of qualified therapists and therapy support workers to provide senior clinical leadership to deliver quality care to our Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Beds and Discharge to Assess Beds in care homes in and around the East & North Hertfordshire area.

You will be based at Queen Victoria Memorial (QVM) Hospital in Welwyn, Hertfordshire. The post will involve travelling between care homes within East & North Hertfordshire including, Stevenage, Hatfield & Broxbourne. Depending on service demand, the IMC/D2A team intermittently will support the therapy teams at HCT's 3 rehabilitation in-patient units (Herts & Essex Hospital, QVM and Danesbury)., The post holder will deliver a complex package of high quality healthcare including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients with various needs - including orthopaedics, care of the elderly and neurology.

The post holder will provide expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers, and relatives.

The post holder will deputise for the Lead Therapist as necessary
