Occupational Therapist Assistant

This is a temporary Occupational Therapy Assistant role at the Brighton & Hove Clinic, which is part of Elysium Healthcare. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team providing psychiatric services, inpatient therapies, and day care programmes for adults and young people experiencing mental health issues. The role involves facilitating meaningful activities, contributing to patient care plans, and supporting the team in providing a range of therapeutic interventions., The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for monitoring programme activity, facilitating individual and group activities, assisting with risk assessments, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. They will also contribute to the creation of patient and ward timetables, provide clinical entries in the patient database, and use their creative and organisational skills to plan cultural events for the ward and hospital. The role requires previous experience working with adults or young people with mental health disorders, as well as skills in areas such as art, craft, horticulture, cooking, or music.
