Occupational Therapist - Buckinghamshire

We are advertising two posts within the Buckinghamshire Occupational Therapy teams, one rotational post based across sites in Aylesbury and one static post based at Marlborough House in Milton Keynes., To manage a caseload, assessing patients needs and delivering a range of evidenced based Occupational Therapy interventions. To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team establishing effective relationships with colleagues to benefit the treatment of clients in each setting. This will include contributing to decision making about client care programmes.To provide and receive information (some of which may be complex or sensitive) and may require tact or negotiation and to be able to manage barriers to understanding.To communicate clearly the results of assessment, intervention and evaluation to referrers and others involved with clients. The rotation offers a unique opportunity to work specifically in a variety of Mental Health inpatient settings. The areas on the rotation include:

• Forensic Mental Health Inpatient ward
• Older Adult Mental Health Inpatient ward
• Adult Mental Health Inpatient rehabilitation ward
We are currently looking to expand the rotation to offer a wider range of mental health experience, this may include a community post. The rotation offers an opportunity to develop and consolidate skills in a range of settings. Each rotation is for a period of 9 months Marlborough House post - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract We have another opportunity to join the therapy team at Marlborough House in a static band 5 Occupational Therapist role.
