Occupational Therapist (Community)

You will be responsible for the delivery of specialist and comprehensive Occupational Therapy interventions to patients with a range of complex physical and cognitive difficulties. The Community Specialist Rehabilitation Service is led from an interdisciplinary perspective with occupational therapy staff working closely with physiotherapists, speech and language therapy, psychology staff, vocational rehabilitation specialists and therapy and administration support staff, to provide rehabilitation programmes to patients with complex needs. You will be passionate about complex rehabilitation and able to deliver high quality, evidenced based interventions. Applicants must have experience of and interest in community rehabilitation. Regular support will be provided, including peer support via the broader service.

Our Community Specialist Rehabilitation Service comprises 2 teams, one covering St Helens and Knowsley, the other covering Liverpool and Sefton, which provide specialist inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to patients with complex rehabilitation needs, as part of Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN). Due to current service staffing changes, we have an opportunity for a suitably skilled and experienced occupational therapist to uptake this Band 7 post in our Locality 2 team, on a 6 month fixed term basis. You will have a breadth of specialist Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills in neurorehabilitation/complex rehabilitation and will be an experienced community practitioner.
