Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced full-time, band 6 or 7 neuro Occupational Therapist to join our highly developed, inter-disciplinary team. This position is for our Community Service, where you'll be expected to bring your own experience to make the post truly your own within a fast growing area of the business., The post holder will be visiting clients within the clients own home, care homes and at our outpatient hub where you'll use evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist OT programmes for a complex caseload of adults with acquired brain injury. This includes treating those with severe physical, cognitive and behavioural impairments and disabilities. You will need to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills in evaluating, analysing and comparing a range of therapy options in relation to clinical outcomes and treat and progress client care to maximise rehabilitation potential. You will liaise with other specialist services as required and facilitate and plan safe discharges in conjunction with the MDT/appropriate agencies. The successful candidate will have post graduate experience in inpatient or community neurorehabilitation and be a car driver with access to their own car.
For December and January we are offering a £1000 welcome bonus, payable after 6 months probation.
This role would require you to cover the Southampton area + a 2 hour radius around Southampton, though most clients will be based in Southampton.
Travel time will also be paid.
We will consider part time candidates of 22.5 hours per week and above
The ideal candidate will possess developed skills in providing direct clinical care, holistic assessment, treatment, review and management of clients with physical, cognitive and psychological impairments as a result of acquired brain injury. Individuals working with us will benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities. You will be supported and funded to pursue skill based/academic CPD programmes and regular opportunities to participate in in-service training.
