Full Job Description

The successful applicant will provide assessment, diagnosis and develop bespoke therapy for a caseload of service users with a learning disability with complex needs, using evidence based/ client centred principles and delivered in accordance with HCPC and College of Occupational Therapy (COT) requirements.

You will be joining a small but tenacious Multi-Disciplinary team who are all committed to ensuring that the physical and mental health, communication and occupational needs of individuals with a learning disability are equitably met.

The Occupational Therapy Team across Herefordshire and Worcestershire are innovative in their service delivery using a mix of face-to-face visits, remote working, and social media to support services users. We meet regularly to offer peer support and look at clinical/service issues, developing resources and regular CPD through journal club, training sessions and face to face away days.

You will receive regular individual and group supervision, training, and support within this role to help transfer your skills and develop competencies in this specialist field.

Main duties of the job

Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/ client centred principles.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy Services. Provide outcomes for the service and service users by using agreed tools/assessments.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Trust Occupational Therapy Service. Ensure OT provision is delivered in accordance with HCPC and College of Occupational Therapy (COT) requirements.
