Full Job Description

This is a 12 month fixed term or secondment opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work in Bow and Poplar Neighborhood Mental health team (NMHT). The NMHT is a vibrant community team offering integrated mental health and social care to residents in Tower Hamlets. There is a second Band 6 post available in the Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health Inpatient Occupational Therapy Team, this post will include a Community component and we will be interviewing with both posts in mind.

Occupational therapy assessment and intervention.

Act as the named Health Care Professional for people where occupational function is the main area of difficulty.

Brief treatment and assessment (ABT) including adult assessments (care acts) and safeguarding enquiries.

Supervison of the OT Technician,employment specialists and community connectors at the NMHT.

Responsible for Occupational Therapy provision for the NMHT.

Offer clincial and managerial supervision to support staff in the NMHT including the OT technician.

In line with the integrated function of the NMHT undertake safeguarding enquires, adult care assessments and care and support plans.

To work along side colleagues at the NMHT including duty work, ABT assessment and intervention, contributions to the discharge of inpatients at THCMH.
