We pride ourselves on our collaborative and compassionate approach, ensuring every team member thrives and every service user receives the best care possible., The Role: As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you'll play a crucial role in our services for children and young people, particularly within the Emotional and Behavioural, Neurodevelopment, and Conduct and Behavioural pathways. providing you with a broad and enriching experience.,
- To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families.
- To provide highly specialist OT advice to members of the multidisciplinary team.
- To use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with children and their families/carers in order to progress their treatment programmes, and to ensure an understanding of their condition/problem in order to maximise their functional potential.
- To attend relevant Education, Health and Care Plan meetings (EHCP) and any other relevant forums to share information.
- To communicate sensitive information to children and parent/carers in an empathetic way about conditions that may have significant impact on future functional abilities and quality of life.
- To undertake CAMHS initial assessments and risk assessments.
- To provide consultation to other members of the MDT internal and external to CAMHS

- Skills in supervising junior team members
Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.
