From 4 April 2024 overseas workers requiring a general Skilled Worker Visa (such as data analysts, IT and finance professionals, etc) but sponsored by an NHS organisation will need to meet the new salary threshold of £38,700. In addition, applications to the Health and Care Visa route for those occupations paid by NHS bands that are on the immigration salary, a list of skilled jobs which have lower salary requirements, will need to meet the national pay scale for their role or the new minimum salary threshold of £23,200 (whichever is higher). You will be working for Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust working cross-site at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to the care of patients enabling them to step down to their normal place of residence faster
As a registered Occupational Therapist you will be experienced in working in a multi disciplinary / multi-agency health / social care environment with knowledge of IT basic administration systems including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc)., + You will be patient focussed and have the ability to carry out comprehensive assessments and be able to prioritise and make sound decisions, sometimes under pressure.
+ To provide holistic and person-centred care and support community patients in a subacute setting.
+ Responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of individualised patient care, working in partnership with patients, their carers and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the patient's physical, spiritual and emotional needs are met.
+ To complete Occupational Therapy assessments of patients with diverse presentations, with complex physical and psychological diagnoses, to inform treatment planning based around agreed and realistic goals.
