We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Fylde Coast Rotation. If you are an OT who would like to expand your experience within different mental health settings we currently have a vacancy for a full time band 5 Occupational Therapist: Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Clearance, Within the rotational post you will be based with a variety of teams across Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre. You will work within each team for 12 months. The teams will include; · Older Adult Community Mental Health Services (Fylde Coast Rapid Intervention & Treatment Team (RITT), includes Care Home Liaison) · Adult Community Mental Health Services (Home Based Treatment Team and Adult CMHT) · Older Adult In-Patient Mental Health Wards The successful candidate will be responsible for caseloads, assessing patients within the hospital, community and home environments and supporting with patient centered care. They will also be expected to undertake supervision of support staff and assist in local developments related to the Occupational Therapy.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic about working in mental health with excellent communication skills and who wants to to develop their clinical skills in these exciting areas. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills using preceptorship and will work with and receive supervision from experienced therapists. There are plenty of opportunities for professional development including evidence based best practice forums, AHP journal clubs and an AHP research and innovation forum. We are looking for a therapist who is enthusiastic about working with people with mental health needs.
