Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy Team. This role will require the successful candidate to provide a high quality, evidence based occupational therapy which promotes participation and functional activity of children and young people.

Our service delivery aims to promote outcome focussed interventions, safe care, function and participation of children and young people accessing home, school, and community life. You will support the delivery of child and family focused, goal led interventions, working in collaboration with education, multi-agency, and multidisciplinary teams.

This is a great opportunity to develop a career where you make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of children and families., You will provide occupational therapy to children and young people accessing The Childrens Trust School and in-patient neurorehabilitation services; including assessment and intervention to children and young people with acquired brain injuries, neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.

The role is rotational, and you will have the opportunity to rotate between the Childrens Trust School and neurorehabilitation services every twelve months, with benefits of clinical supervision, small caseloads and opportunities for intensive therapy and teaching. The service offers generous CPD support and a range of opportunities to be involved in audit, research, and service evaluation.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

The Childrens Trust is the UKs leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.
