Full Job Description

As an OT within the Stroke and Neurology therapy team you will gain experience by rotate across our key services:
+ Acute Stroke and Neurology - in-patients
+ Stroke Rehabilitation - in-patients
+ Community Stroke Rehabilitation - Integrated Community Stroke Service
You will use and develop your core OT skills to complete neurological assessments, developing patient cantered goals to guide treatment plans and establishing rehabilitation prescriptions.
Opportunities in this role:
+ Completing assessments and treatment plans for patients with a variety of health conditions and backgrounds.
+ Completing specialist Occupational Therapy assessments including cognitive assessments .
+ To work in an integrated Therapy service that will further develop your skills and knowledge as a holistic practitioner.
+ Promoting discharge to assess by adopting a 'home first' mindset
+ Champion the role of Occupational Therapy within the department, trust and local area.
+ Opportunity to be involved in supervision of students and develop own skills to become a practice educator.
+ Access to training, supervision, competency frameworks and professional development groups.
Support through Peer group meetings and robust supervision structures.

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) with a special interest in Stroke and Neurology?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 OT who is passionate about improving the lives of people, flexible, hardworking and innovative, to join our friendly therapy team as a static OT with the Stroke and Neurology service.
If successful, you will become part of our established, integrated Stroke and Neuro therapy service, working across all aspects of acute rehab and community care. Delivery of a high quality service and development of our staff is a high priority. We have an established education programme and strong peer support throughout the Trust.
