Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity which has arisen for a twelve month fixed term role for a Band 3 Occupational Therapy assistant working within the Occupational Therapy department at the Wells Road Centre. The Wells Road Centre is part of a Low Secure and Community Forensic Directorate. The post is to have specific links five inpatient wards where you will to contribute to the provision of Occupational Therapy interventions . You will work with Occupational Therapist's to deliver high quality based occupational therapy interventions.

You will be a part of a large and friendly supportive team that consists of Occupational Therapists, OTA's , technical instructors, wellbeing facilitators, sports instructors, music instructor and education staff.

We ask that you have the enthusiasm and motivation to engage and inspire patients , supporting them through their recovery., You will have the responsibility of delivering individualised interventions such as practising activities of daily living skills i.e. shopping, cooking , use of public transport. You will also be encouraged to support patients to develop their personal interest's and to work towards their goals for the future. You may be required to facilitate group working under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

You will have responsibilities to support the Occupational Therapy department and the Occupational Team lead. You will have responsibilities to carry out tasks such as kitchen cleaning, checks , daily administration checks and health and safety duties to support the department.
