Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner

The role of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner will be primarily to implement therapy plans which have been devised in collaboration with the resident and occupational therapist. This will include working with residents to develop their skills of daily living alongside supporting the residents to develop community connections and meaningful routines., The post will be 9am-5pm although some flexibility for working outside of these hours may be required to support residents in accessing evening or weekend activities. This will be done in agreement with the clinical team managers.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working in mental health rehabilitation and has previous experience working in this area. The successful post holder will receive regular supervision from an occupational therapist and will be a core part of the multi-disciplinary team across the two sites.
