Full Job Description

The Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker role is for 22.5 hours per week, with the possibility of this expanding to 37.5 hours per week, for 11 months on a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment, The Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker role includes facilitation of occupational assessments and interventions on a one to one basis, for example Cooking skills sessions, identifying meaningful activities and planning purposeful routines and occupational interventions in groups, for example Cooking, Relaxation, Creative, Healthy Lifestyles, to meet Patients' occupational performance / recovery needs as identified by the Occupational Therapist.,

  • Regaining / maintaining / developing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills which can decrease during a hospital admission.
  • Facilitating Patients to re-engage / maintain interests and activities in relation to their recovery.
  • Facilitating engagement in identified purposeful roles.
  • Facilitating Patients to achieve occupational goals they have identified.
  • Facilitating Patients' integration into the community.
