We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Neonatal Occupational Therapist to join the Northern Neonatal Network team in one of our Allied Health Professional lead roles.

The Northern Neonatal Network provides specialist care to infants in ten units across the North East and North Cumbria. The post holder will provide leadership in relation to the delivery of Occupational Therapy across the region.

There is an option to undertake this post on either a permanent basis, or an Honorary Contract/portability agreement basis via an existing trust employer, with up to 15 hours a week available. Are you

Able to provide specialist clinical leadership, demonstrating the value of Occupational Therapy for Neonates and helping to identify future service development needs.

The Neonatal Critical Care Review (NCCR) made recommendations to further improve neonatal care; a key part of this is the focus on a suitable workforce strategy that recognises the pivotal role that Allied Health Professionals play in this programme.

The successful post holder will work with their colleagues across the Northern Neonatal Network to provide leadership and independent advice to the ODN and its membership. They will be central to the implementation and embedding of developmentally sensitive care into neonatal practice, and champion the need for neonatal care which improves longer term outcomes for babies and their families.
