Full Job Description

This job involves working with male patients in secure services.

The post holder will be expected to plan, organise and implement an appropriate range of activities to help meet individual needs. This will be with oversight from registered Occupational Therapists.

Activities may include relaxation, mindfulness, domestic cooking activities, creative sessions, community access and physical activities.

There will be an expectation to work flexibly whilst following a defined activity plan and individual care plans.

Main duties of the job

Thoroughly planning, organising and implementing a range of therapeutic activities aimed at meeting specific and targeted individual needs.

Using positive engagement strategies to support individuals with complex mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autism to engage in meaningful activity.

Following positive support plans to ensure that all activities that are carried out are done so in a way that supports and meets need.

Ensuring that all activities meet clear risk assessment and health and safety practices.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.
