1, Your internship will take place with the Corporate Finance team, a core part of the Investment Banking Continental Europe (IBCE) subdivision based in London. IBCE is involved in ECM transactions (IPOs, secondary placings, capital increases, etc.) for clients across Europe.,

  • At Berenberg we believe talented individuals are the key to our success. This 3-6-month internship programme in the Corporate Finance team, starting in January 2025, will not only provide you with comprehensive training and privileged exposure to market-shaping transactions, but also grant you with the necessary skillset to excel in your role. As an intern in our team, you will:

  • Develop presentation materials for colleagues, clients, and investors, including pitch books, marketing materials and transactions documents

  • Research and analyse financial statements, general market conditions, industry-specific trends, acquisitions and divestitures, and various investment attributes of publicly traded and privately held companies

  • Support on valuation assessments, Analysis at Various Prices (AVP) and sensitivity analyses

  • Actively support in the origination and execution of ECM transactions (IPOs, private company financing and M&A transactions)

    We encourage applications from candidates with the following attributes: Excellent academic background, holding a bachelor's degree and/or currently enrolled in a master's programme from a top university, ideally with a focus on business, finance, or STEM

  • Excellent oral and written communication in English; fluency in German, French, Italian or Spanish a plus

  • A demonstrated interest / experience in ECM or M&A transactions

  • Analytical, adaptive team player with strong worth ethic, and ability to manage multiple deadlines under high pressure

  • Fundamental understanding of accounting, company valuation, methodologies, and applications is required

  • At the time of commencing employment, successful applicants must have full working rights for the UK
