Full Job Description

Carrier is currently recruiting for an Administrator / Hire Desk Controller based at our Leyland depot to support our HVAC Rental Division. Carrier Rental Systems (part of the global Carrier Corporation) operate throughout the UK and across the rest of the world, providing a range of market leading, specialist temperature control rental products to a variety of clients and industries. What will you be doing? The overall objective is to support the Depot /Operations Manager by taking responsibility for the day-to-day administrative tasks and duties to make sure the needs of the customer and the business are met.

  • Supporting the Depot/Operations Manager with all administrative tasks
  • Responsible for processing of hire orders, contracts, collections & off hires.
  • Organising transport & relevant paperwork (delivery + collections)
  • Keeping systems / dashboards up-to-date (on-hires, off-hires, deliveries / collections, stock locations + statuses)
  • Ensuring all hire / service related paperwork is uploaded to system
  • Ensuring all collections / off hires / depot transfers are promptly communicated and processed
  • Working closely with other hire desks teams to ensure the order to deliver, installation process, and off hire / equipment return process is a smooth transition with open communication channels.
  • Assisting with external, internal audits & fleet checks at depot level

    Previous sales support / admin experience
  • Experience working in fast paced, office environment
  • Excellent attention to detail & organisation skills
  • Someone who is keen to learn, ask questions and wants to be involved - bright and inquisitive with a hunger for learning
  • Good communication skills / customer focussed
  • Excellent administration & IT skills
  • Confident and articulate
