Full Job Description

General Administration Support

  • Inventory tracking assistance

  • Record keeping for site equipment and scheduling of inspections, maintenance and calibration

  • Document issue register coordination.

  • Filing on our server filing system and checking documents

  • Management of social media


  • Office Management
  • Greeting visitors and answering general telephone and email enquiries.

  • Arranging for maintenance of office equipment (e.g. photocopiers / printers)

  • Completing administrative forms

  • Ordering of office supplies in good time (including stationery, canteen equipment, refreshments, cleaning items, branded clothing for staff).

    The role would ideally suit a friendly and conscientious person, who has the ability to be well-organised., Previous experience in Office Management and administrative roles

  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and work under pressure

  • Computer Literate and confident in learning new systems

    With over 30 technical and financial staff, Fishtek is looking for an Office Manager to maintain the efficient and safe running of the office and to provide both general & project administrative support to staff when required and to serve as a friendly point of contact for visitors and general enquiries . The office is based (at least 2 days) in Dartington, near Totnes, and provides a pleasant and friendly environment for staff., We are a leading, Devon-based fishing and engineering consultancy firm. We craft sustainable and innovative solutions to remedy the challenges facing fish populations in freshwater and marine environments.

    Fishtek is an industry leader in designing fish and eel passes and providing fisheries consultancy and engineering services throughout the UK and further afield. We work with and for charitable trusts, non-departmental public bodies and multiple water industry organisations, including the Environment Agency, Yorkshire Water, Affinity Water and Next Generation Consultancy Services.
