Full Job Description

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing (40+ hospitality sites and 1,000+ employees), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency so every employee gets paid correctly and in a timely manner., Payroll and Compliance

  • Accurately process end-to-end payroll using Fourth payroll software including payroll data input, reconciliation of reports along with pension submissions, for both fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
  • Ensure all payroll changes for salaries, roles and benefits are up to date along with manually calculating any adjustments such as back pay and other manual payments.
  • Process various statutory forms, including P45s, P60's P11d's, starter declarations, student loans, court orders and adhere to Auto Enrolment and Real Time Information requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with National Minimum Wage legislation, maintain records to comply with audit and government legislation, and stay up to date with relevant payroll legislation.
  • Ensure statutory payments are reported and processed correctly and compliance with all payroll tax regulations.
  • Ensure rotas are completed on a weekly basis in conjunction with Operational teams.
  • upport with reconciling payroll information to weekly rota data, including providing analysis behind the variances to the finance team.
  • Proactively build and maintain good relationships with the hospitality sites including the senior team.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries from external partners such as Tipjar (Tronc), Wagestream, Private Medical, Life Insurance, Pension Scheme, and other Third-Party Providers.
  • Communication, Support and Business Partnering
  • Serve as the key point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees.
  • Offer guidance and assistance in understanding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Administer Fourth HR and Payroll systems.
  • With the support of People and Operations teams, ensure accurate recording and management of holidays and absences.

    This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll principles, and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, hospitality / multi-site experience and excellent communication skills., Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role in hospitality or similar multi-site environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations and compliance standards.
  • Understanding of HR policies and processes related to Payroll. Relevant payroll qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Great attention to detail and able to maintain high level of accuracy in their work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and business partner effectively across departments.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
