Are you a board-eligible or Specialist Oncologist looking for your next challenge? Chestergates Veterinary Specialists are looking for a dynamic individual to join our incredibly friendly and supportive Specialist hospital. This is an opportunity for an individual to set up an Oncology service in the North West of the United Kingdom working alongside a fantastic team where the culture is second to none.

ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists is a CVS multi-disciplinary referral centre. The hospital is located just outside the City of Chester and offers excellent transport links to major cities including London, Birmingham, Glasgow & Edinburgh. Liverpool and Manchester airports are both nearby and offer convenient access to domestic and international destinations. Cheshire is a beautiful county and lies within easy reach of the coast, mountains and other areas of outstanding natural beauty such as Snowdonia, the Lake District, Yorkshire Moors and Peak District. We have an exciting opportunity for an ECVIM/ ACVIM Oncology Diplomate or residency trained colleague to join our expanding team. The successful candidate would be working closely with other experienced colleagues, residency trained clinicians or Specialists in imaging, cardiology, neurology, anaesthesia, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. You will have access to all the expected state-of-the-art equipment, including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, CT and fluoroscopy. Supported by a highly qualified and experienced nursing team, radiographers and a chartered physiotherapist you will have an interesting and varied caseload and can benefit from the support of experienced colleagues throughout the wider CVS group. We are also an educational partner with the University of Surrey and have a team of rotating interns. Full time or part-time can be accommodated with hours and working pattern adjusted to suit the successful candidate. Competitive salary and benefits package included. To be successful you will be:

  • Residency training or have Diplomate status
  • Current RCVS registration (MRCVS)
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
