Full Job Description

An exciting and rewarding job opportunity has emerged here at Thames View, Imperial HealthcarePrivate Care at Charing Cross Hospital. We are looking for an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist(CNS) who will be responsible for providing high quality, evidence-based holistic care to our PrivatePatients.

The CNS will manage a caseload of patients, providing professional person centred careand support from point of suspected malignancy, diagnosis, treatment and beyond. Offeringclinical information, expert symptom management advice and emotional support to patients,relatives and carers. Additionally the CNS will be the key contact, creating a trusting link betweenpatient and Consultant and other services. Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinaryteam to maintain clinical excellence with a focus on patient outcomes as well as patientexperience., o Provide specialist cancer & surgical nursing advice Trust wide to support and facilitatehigh quality, individualised care to patients /clients and relatives/carers in collaborationwith the multi professional team, working especially closely with the cancer Community ofPractice.o At all times ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.o To ensure efficient and well-informed pathway of care for patients in line with privatepathways and national cancer and 18 week targetso Act as a professional role model, providing direct and indirect clinical care, teaching andresearch within ward / department team.o To assist with data collection of cancer patients
