Tesco Online is the biggest Online grocer in the UK and one of the largest in the world. Our Fulfilment Operation is fundamental to supporting the success of Online, and a significant lever in achieving our profitability objectives. This role is passionate about the overall development of our Grocery Home Shopping operation. As an Online Development Manager we translate strategy into action, implementing plans thoughtfully and working collaboratively and cross functionally with multiple collaborators. We typically lead multiple projects and try to be a subject matter expert.

At Tesco, we believe in the power of spending more time together, face to face, than apart. So, during your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. We also recognise that life looks a little different for each of us. Some people are at the start of their careers, some want the freedom to do the things they love. Others are going through life-changing moments like becoming a carer, nearing retirement, adapting to parenthood, or something else. That's why at Tesco, we always welcome a conversation about flexible working. So, talk to us throughout your application about how we can support.

You will be responsible for:

Ensuring clear Project definition and scope from the beginning, ensuring the project always remains on track and in scope.
Prioritising and engaging with relevant subject matter experts, leading and motivating them to contribute to Project delivery.
Managing risk and issues, setting up and leading a clear governance programme.
Handling interdependencies and any potential challenges, working with others to deliver the project objectives/scope and for the good of customers, colleagues & planet.
Crafting a clear implementation programme, working with the people and communications teams as required.
Supervising progress of delivery and updating collaborators including business leaders on the results.
Achieving great results by encouraging, engaging and leading others; you make our customers and colleagues feel valued.
Knowing your stuff, sharing your knowledge and passion, the way you manage makes Tesco a great place to work and shop.
Taking ownership of processes and systems, making sure they are effective and efficient; you spot issues and swiftly find the best and the simplest solutions.
Understand the lessons learned, sharing these with collaborators and ensuring continuous improvements on 'the what' and 'the how' is in place.
Strong strategy and proposition development as well as analytical skills
Ability to bridge between strategic thinking and pragmatic implementation

Great Time Management
Experience with Budgeting
Experience with Agile desirable but not essential
