Operating Department Orderly

Working days and or shift patterns will be agreed by the line manager to meet the needs of the service.
This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.
This post may close earlier than the given closing date once a sufficient number of applications have been received., To provide general orderly duties and support to the Theatre and Day Care Unit staff and patients.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Undertake cleaning and preparation of theatres
Undertake cleaning and processing of endoscope to Endoscopy Unit Standards, for Main Theatre, DCU theatre, Gynae Clinic and anaesthetics including ITU
Ensure traceability and collection of necessary data
Maintain stock levels of equipment and cleaning chemicals
Take water samples for weekly water testing
Perform Self Disinfection Cycles for Washer Disinfector as specified by manufacturer
Assist with training of all new staff under supervision

We are seeking an Operating Department Orderly to join our busy teams within our purpose built Main and Day Care Unit Operating Theatre Suites.
You will need to be flexible, adaptable and be able to work under pressure.
To apply for the Band 2 post, no previous experience is necessary as training will be given.
