Full Job Description

We have vacancies for HCPC/NMC Registered Operating Department Practitioners, to work in our theatres at Pinderfields General hospital. Our department has 18 theatres, delivering 24/7 acute and elective care in various interesting specialities, including obstetrics, orthopaedics, reconstructive breast surgery and many others as well as being the Yorkshire regional burns centre.. The successful candidates will join our established teams to provide safe anaesthetic and surgical care and support to our adult and paediatric patients and will be happy working shifts on a rotational basis, including nights, on calls and weekends. We are committed to education and progression of our staff and are supported by our own education team as well as our trust PDEU team and have a wealth of knowledge in our experienced band 6 team leaders and within the team itself, including our forward thinking role of band 6 clinical specialists supporting each speciality. we have a very diverse and multi cultural, The main duty is to adhere to HCPC/NMC and AFPP guidelines of good Practice supporting safe and effective surgical and anaesthetic care. Working proactively within the MDT to achieve positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Our theatre provides safe care and support to people requiring acute or elective surgical care. The role involves both scrub and anaesthetic practise, we encourage our nursing colleagues to take part in anaesthetic training and our ODP colleagues to carry out the scrub role.
