Operation Technician & HGV Driver

The hours would vary as required by the business when completing driving duties but a normal day would be 8 hours + 1 hour break Monday to Friday. The normal working day would be 07.00hrs to 16.00hrs, with a requirement of flexibility to suit business needs.,

• Daily warehouse duties include but are not limited to, assisting in loading and unloading trucks and cleaning lighting equipment.
• Ensure all loads are safe and secure.
• Driving HGV truckloads of set lighting equipment to film studios and locations.
• Assisting in keeping the truck fleet clean and inspected.
• Properly unload and double check equipment as it returns from production rental.
• Coordinating with the Account Manager(s) and Fleet Manager, with the day-to-day events that occur when loading and unloading.
• Providing and communicating any changes made by the crew and/or production, ensuring that all their needs are met.
• Work with Account Manager(s) and Fleet Manager to ensure all delivery/pick-up information is correct.
• To comply with all drivers hours and Road Transport Directive legislation.
• To carry out all necessary checks to ensure the vehicle is safe and legal and to follow appropriate procedures if it is not.
• To act as company ambassador when dealing with customers.
• To plan and adapt routes as necessary and feedback to Fleet Manager on any issues around load planning and routing.
• To comply with all Health & Safety requirements in depot, on road and at customers premises and to take responsibility for ensuring own fitness to drive at all times.
• The comprehension and willingness to go "the extra mile", work to job completion, finalise all assets & attributes of each day's work is assumed to be understood for this role.
  
  Highly motivated, strong ability to multitask, and the ability to flourish in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Qualified HGV2 driving license.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency.
• Forklift and/or reach-truck license an advantage.
• Able to organise, prioritise and execute numerous orders in tandem.
• Must handle stressful situations professionally and confidentially as well as interact with co-workers and clients professionally.
• Must be an effective trouble shooter, great communicator, and problem solver.
• Knowledge of film and television production an advantage., Ability to interact and communicate with front line production crew.
• Ability to navigate through very complex situations and personalities.
• Ability to coach employees, encourage teamwork and promote high standards of customer service.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Strong computer skills: ability to understand multiple operating systems.
HGV2 Drivers license - minimum of 24 months.
