Full Job Description

The Surgical Division at Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Operational Service Manager for their Head and Neck business unit. With an annual budget of £11.2 million, you will be responsible for managing 5 specialties (Ophthalmology, ENT, Audiology, Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Surgery) across three hospital sites supported by a team of over 150 staff.
If you thrive on a challenge and have demonstrable experience in operational management, including the management of waiting lists in line with Referral to Treatment (RTT) rules, and experience of service improvement, this post may be for you.
The Head and Neck business unit is undergoing significant changes to support recovery clear our longest waiting patients and continue our journey to build a world class team for the future.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the leadership experience to engage, encourage and support the existing team to drive surgical pathway innovations and high-quality patient care., The post holder:
· Will lead the operation and development of the service with responsibility for business planning, budget management and staff management, to enable delivery of access, activity, finance, staff performance, staff development and quality targets.
· Has joint responsibility with the other managers and clinical leads to provide the overall leadership to the Division. They will be required to establish, improve and maintain effective operational links with all relevant services across the Trust.
· Will provide direct operational leadership of a defined clinical area within the Division, the post holder will be responsible to, and support the Divisional Management Team in the achievement of operational and clinical governance objectives.
