Full Job Description

The purpose is to provide leadership, management, and administration to the relevant assigned division of the Analytical business, ensuring high quality pathology services are delivered by Synnovis. Reporting to the Deputy Operations Services Director, you will have a high level of accountability to ensure the successful delivery of pathology services, in line with our corporate objectives. Our approach to leadership is through a local tripartite relationship between the Clinical, Scientific, and Operational workforce. This combined effort ensures that day to day performance, development, and requirements are managed and met., This role reports to the relevant Deputy Operations Services Manager (DOSD) who is accountable for the delivery of day-to-day operational services in a designated area within Analytics. This role has accountability within the designated division within the Analytics business and has a high level of autonomy. It also plays a vital part of the tripartite management structure of Clinical, Scientific, and Operations. This includes:

  • Supporting the Deputy Operations Services Director toplan, organise and formulate strategies for delivering excellence and continuously improving the services provided.
  • Setting objectives and managing performance in line with HR policy. Leading in an inclusive way, you will embody the positive culture that underpins the way Synnovis operates.
  • Identifying new opportunities for growth by using business profiling. By detecting potential threats to service delivery, you will ensure efficiency and devise ways to safeguard against them.
  • Working closely with Scientists, Clinical and Biomedical, and Scientific & Clinical Leads to deliver the day-to-day service and service improvements within the post remit and initiate R&D programmes that will have an impact inside and outside of the business. This includes auditing R&D activities and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Oversight of the operational management of services in your designated area, with support from the Service Delivery Managers.
